Here is an original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of Billy Wilder's WWII thriller,
Five Graves To Cairo
. One of a number of films based on the 1917 play
Hotel Imperial
, this movie concerns a British straggler who manages to pass himself off as a waiter at the hotel commandeered as Rommel's headquarters during the North African campaign. This poster is from the first release of the movie in Belgium after the end of the war in Europe, probably in 1947 or early 1948.
It is in very nice condition for its age and features wonderful artwork unique to this Belgian release poster.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  14" x 21.75"
CONDITION:
Good to Very Good Untrimmed Folded Condition. Untrimmed top border shows remnants of former theater exhibition snipe. A few pinholes in the surrounding borders. Overall yellowing to the paper. Folded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 24 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
