Here is a beautiful original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of Sam Wood's epic war love story,
For Whom The Bell Tolls
. Based on the novel by Ernest Hemingway, this film stars Gary Cooper as an American International Brigades volunteer who is fighting in the Spanish Civil War against the fascists. This poster is believed to be from the first release of the movie in Belgium in the late 1940's. It is in very good condition for its age and features striking artwork unique to this Belgian release poster.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  14.5" x 22"
CONDITION:
Very Good Untrimmed Condition.  Folded in the top white border with two pinholes. A soft horizontal fold in the center. A tax stamp affixed in lower right border.  Unfolded as originally issued, this poster has been stored flat for the past 18 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
